Mercadona to hire hundreds in the Balearic Islands

SPANISH supermarket chain Mercadona will hire a total of 300 people in the Balearic Islands for its summer season.
A statement released by the company announced a total of 4,000 new workers would be hired across Spain for June, July, August and September, with salaries of €1,000 per month.
The Valencian company will increase staff in its 1,536 shops to reinforce service during the summer holidays, as they have traditionally registered a growth in consumption in this season, mainly motivated by the arrival of thousands of tourists.
