ON THE UP: Prices are increasing in coastal areas.
A SLIGHT drop has been registered in property prices for the first quarter of 2015, according to several analyses, although the Costas are bucking the trend with prices increasing. The Ministry of Public Works’ figures found a small year-on-year decrease in the average cost per square metre of housing, with the first quarter of 2015, 0.1 per cent lower than the same period last year. The average comes in at €1,457.9 per square metre. The drop, however, is the slightest fall in prices registered since the property bubble burst, yet another indication of stabilisation in the market. According to the ministry, however, a few regions registered small increases, including Valencia (0.69 per cent) and Andalucia (0.05 per cent).
