MUDDY TIME: Central European tourists experience the mud baths at Lo Pagan.

EIGHT THOUSAND tourists from the Czech Republic will be visiting the Mar Menor over the next six months.
The first 300 have already arrived as part of the holiday programme ‘Destiny Between The Two Seas’ staying at hotels in La Manga and San Pedro del Pinatar, with many already experiencing the health benefits of bathing in the mud baths of Lo Pagan.
Their visit is in contrast to that of a group of Austrian tourists whose main aim during their visit was to enjoy the cultural and culinary wealth of the region.
The emergence of Czech pensioners is the result of a collaboration between the Institute of Tourism and two of the major tour operators from the Central European country: Quality Tours and DelfinTravel.
They are arriving at San Javier airport with an average of two flights a week from the Czech Republic over the coming months.
The visitors will also be able to enjoy guided excursions to other areas including to Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca and Calasparra.
