Two trucks burn in Pilar

TWO trucks have burnt down in an accident in Pilar de la Horadada.
The incident occurred on the CV-941 when the driver of a truck carrying plastic and cardboard, observed that his vehicle was on fire. He immediately parked along the hard shoulder to put out the blaze with a fire extinguisher but without success. The lorry was parked on a slight slope and slowly began to move backwards hitting another truck which also caught fire.
Fire crews from Torrevieja were called to tackle the fires and an investigation is now underway in to what caused the original fire on the first lorry.
