Lions Roar On

THE Teulada and Moraira Lions have a fun packed, and fund raising, year planned out with plenty of musical events to enjoy and support.
Firstly news of fantastic support from a local company. Pepe La Sal presented a cheque for €825 to TM Lions and Colin Lilley, President of TM Lions was delighted to accept it. Colin said: “Pepe la Sal has supported T.M. Lions over the last eight years. Their support for the TM Lions food voucher scheme has been invaluable and it is wonderful that we get support from local businesses which allow us to assist those in need in the local community.”
The recent concert by El Divo was a resounding success and raised a magnificent total of €1,500. The next musical delight will be held on Saturday June 20 at The Seafront in Moraira. Sponsored by Dragon Insurance, the event will feature U3A, formally the Teulada-Moraira U3A Golden Oldies Music Group, who will be performing songs from the 50’s,60’s,70’s plus a touch of blues. This is a free concert but donations will be gratefully accepted by the TM Lions team who will be there in their distinctive yellow tops.
The Lions are trying to raise €20,000 to equip a new therapy centre in Teulada-Moraira for those with physical and mental disabilities so please dig deep and help them achieve their aim.
The second free concert is on Sunday July 26 and will feature Leah Kankowski as Lady Gaga.
Later in the year they have arranged a Costa Blanca rock extravaganza with the Bon Jovi Experience at Ondara Auditorio Municipal. They will be playing over two nights on November 27 and 28 and tickets are €22.
