Riogordo resident dies in fatal accident

A 37-YEAR-OLD motorcyclist from Riogordo died on Saturday (May 30) after swerving violently outside of the A-356 road in the Area of La Viñuela.
The fatal accident took place at around 11.20am when several witnesses alerted the 112 emergency services. They reported that the victim had hit the crash barrier. Guardia Civil and medical services could not do anything to save the man’s life as he died practically on the spot.
Rigordo’s ‘Snail-Day’ festivities, scheduled to be celebrated on Sunday, were cancelled and postponed to June 7, according to council representatives.
