JOHN KERRY, US Secretary of State has broken his right femur in a cycling accident in Scionzier, France, on Sunday morning (May 31).
According to reports, the ardent cyclist was tended to by paramedics and a physician at the scene of the crash.
A spokesman confirmed that Kerry would return to Boston for treatment at Massachusetts General Hospital with his doctor, adding that Kerry was in “great spirits and active” and had had a number of phone calls, including one with President Barack Obama.
The accident has now pushed back Kerry’s visit to Madrid, where he was expected to sign a deal regarding the Moron base. Injuries of this nature are known to take six months or more to heal.
