Introduction of new Tesla Model S 70D

THIS month, Europe saw the introduction of the latest addition to the Tesla stable, the Model S 70D.
While all eyes are on Tesla’s SUV waiting in the wings for launch this summer, the electric car wizards in Palo Alto are keeping up our interest with a new entry-level addition to the Model S range.
The all-wheel drive electric car with a 0-100km/h time of 5.2 seconds and a 390 kilometre range at 110km/h, is the cheapest EV yet from the Silicon Valley start-up, and has a starting price tag of around €80,000.
The Model S 70D offers a broad and compelling set of features. Moreover, when one factors in the cost advantages over an internal combustion engine vehicle, including fuel savings and incentives, the actual cost of owning Model S 70D comes to about €49,000 over five years (the average length of new car ownership).
In addition to having independently operational front and rear motors, the price includes supercharging points to enable free long-distance travel, autopilot hardware, navigation, blind spot detection and many other features.
As with every Model S, the 70D will receive free over-the-air updates that improve the driving experience.
You can even have any colour you like, as long as it’s Ocean Blue, Obsidian Black or Warm Silver.
