Briton arrested for suspected Malaga spa thefts

Policia Nacional - Ministerio del Interior

A BRITISH man has been arrested suspected of being behind six thefts and one attempted theft from two spas in Malaga City he visited as a client.
Police investigations began early this year when six people reported that their possessions had been stolen from lockers at the spas while they were having treatments.
On all occasions, a middle-aged, British man was found to be the only other client at the spas at the time, and the police received a call on May 22 to report that a man had been caught trying to break into a locker.
When searched by officers, the 50-year-old man was found to be carrying three crowbars, a screwdriver and six SIM cards from different phone companies in a rucksack.
After arresting him, a search of his lodgings was authorised and five wallets, four watches, seven pairs of sunglasses, various items of jewellery, four padlocks and 10 SIM cards were found.
