Motril on the lookout for 2015’s summer season lifeguards

SURVEILLANCE, first aid and lifeguard services along the coast of Motril have been put out to tender by the town council.
The winning bidder would have to pay a maximum cost of 120,000 and cover surveillance and rescue services, missing people searches, vital basic life support and defibrillator cases as well as first aid services. They will also have to ensure a minimum staff of 16 people.
“It is vital to have a surveillance and rescue service that guarantees the safety of all beach-goers,” said Mayor Luisa Garcia Chamorro.
The service will be operational between June 15 and September 15 from 11am to 8pm, every day of the week.
