Jail for fighting Guardia Civil officers

THE Superior Court has sentenced a Guardia Civil officer and a corporal who got involved in a fight inside the station in Garrucha (Almeria).
The corporal has been sentenced to eight months in jail for a crime of mistreatment of a subordinate, while the officer will have to spend seven months in jail for having attacked a superior.
The incident took place in June of 2012, when the corporal saw the officer enter the headquarters inside his private vehicle, according to the sentence’s text, which states that several insults where followed by a physical, mutual aggression.
The officer will also have to pay a €448 compensation to his superior, while the latter will have to pay a €384 to the officer.
