The people have spoken

IN Torrevieja the PP lost its majority for the first time in over 20 years.

NEW alliances are being formed across the Costa Blanca following Sunday’s municipal elections.
For some towns, the faces within the local government remain unchanged. In Daya Vieja, Rafael Vives was the first person to be announced Mayor in the Vega Baja as the first results came in.
Carlos Ramirez (PP) stays as Mayor of San Fulgencio. The PIPN party, headed by Councillor Jeff Wiszniewski, came second, but it was not enough to stop the PP’s majority.
However, the PP’s success was not echoed on a regional level with the party losing numerous seats. In Torrevieja the party lost their majority for the first time in over 20 years.
