New Costa park in progress

WORK has started to create a new 3,500-square-metre park in Villafranco del Guadalhorce.
The Parque de los Fundadores is being created on grounds by Carmen Arevalo school to provide a new leisure area for local residents that will honour the first inhabitants of the area.
“At the moment work is concentrating on creating pavements around the borders of the future park, so locals need to make sure they use the opposite side of the road for safety reasons, and the pedestrian crossing will be closed for a few days,” warned Villafranco councillor Diego Navas.
Workers are also preparing electrical and water supply to the area, after which work on the park itself will begin.
