GOVERNOR Sir James Dutton revealed he would be leaving Gibraltar in late September, before his term is up. The surprising news was announced at a special press briefing, organised by the Governor and the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo. It was held at The Convent, the official residence of the Governor.
“Our decision has been made for purely personal and professional reasons and is no reflection on the Rock or its great people,” assured Sir James.
Mr Picardo described the Governor as “a great supporter of Gibraltar.”
