17-year-old takes lead in San Fulgencio’s Oklahoma

AT the tender age of 17, Verity Jo Spencer Hall is one of the leading lights in the summer musical ‘Oklahoma’ being presented next week at the theatre in San Fulgencio.
Verity first started singing in her bedroom and now produces songs that have maturity and quality beyond her years.
In 2013, she achieved good dancing grades with Footwork Dance and after seeing the musical ‘Wicked’ in London she decided on a stage career. Upon learning that Studio 32 were auditioning for the cast of ‘Oklahoma’ she applied and the selection board were so impressed with her voice and stage presence that she was offered the leading lady role of Laurey in the show.
Since then she has participated in the making of two locally staged films and is also working in a well known choir, which is all giving her more experience and confidence in being able to fulfil her ambition of being a West End performer.
On stage in ‘Oklahoma’ with all the other talented singers and performers of Studio 32, Verity can be seen next week in the show.
