A MAN who went to visit his wife while on temporary release from jail and allegedly held a knife to her throat while threatening her has been arrested in Malaga City.
The 49-year-old reportedly went to the bar where his wife worked and started to shout at her, causing clients to leave.
The woman later reported that he was very violent and tried to rape her then threw her to the ground, held an 11-centimetre knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.
Police officers called to the scene by passersby arrived to find the man, who refused to drop the knife and resisted arrest, hiding behind a bus-shelter.
While the man was taken back into custody, his wife, who told officers it wasn’t the first time this had happened, was taken for medical treatment and then to a police station to place an official report for mistreatment.
