A BULL being transported to a festival celebrating San Isidro, the patron Saint of Madrid, managed to escape as it was being unloaded into the town´s bull ring. The animal ran riot through the unsuspecting streets of Talavera, injuring eleven civilians, including a nine year old boy who suffered facial injuries and a 30 year old man who was wounded in the left thigh. The ordeal eventually came to a halt, after a police car ran the animal over. Jaime Ramos, Mayor of Talavera reported to awaiting media that none of the injuries caused by the bull were life-threatening and that an investigation was now underway.
