British tourist taken into custody over alleged attack

NATIONAL POLICE officers in Manacor arrested a British citizen after he reportedly attacked the security guard of a pub in Calas de Mallorca.
The incident took place inside the bar, when the suspect, together with a group of friends, allegedly caused disturbances resulting in complaints from other customers. The security guard then reprimanded him and the man reportedly started a fight. Witnesses claim that he grabbed a glass bottle and caused the guard several injuries which later had to be treated by a doctor at the Manacor hospital.
The man fled the scene but was found a few hours later and taken into custody.
