A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl in Argentina was allegedly sent to nursery school by her mother with a loaded gun to avoid attacks, local media has reported.
The gun was spotted by other children, who told the teacher when the young girl moved the loaded pistol from her rucksack to a pocket, saying it was heavy.
Police chief Christian Marcozzi explained to local press that the gun was loaded with two cartridges.
Marcozzi said the girl’s mother explained the gun was hers and she had given it to her daughter to carry because she feared attacks or rape.
The police force has opened an investigation to ascertain whether the woman holds an arms licence.
