Son Espases award for tech excellence

Son Espases Hospital: Using technology to improve treatments.

THE HIMSS, a global, nonprofit organisation focused on improving health care through information technology, has awarded the Son Espases hospital in Palma with a level six accreditation. “This prestigious prize reflects the high quality of the Son Espases hospital,” read a statement released by the Balearic Islands regional Government.
The award was received by the Sub-director of Information services of the Hospital, Antonio Moragues in an event celebrated in Riga (Latvia), in an event that had the participation of the Prime Minister of Latvia, Guntis Belvis, as well as head of HIMSS, Stephen Liever.
The use of information technologies in the field of medicines aims at increasing the safety of the patient at all levels. The electronic medical record Cerner Millennium of the Son Espases hospital is able of integrating all conditions experienced by each patient as well as information on checkups, surgical treatments, medication taken and others.

      this hospital is outstanding they saved my uncles life after suffering a massive stroke, the speed the medical team work was remarkable operating and removing a blood clot from his main artery on the brain. can not express our gratitude enough .
