Stay up all night in Cuevas

SHOPS in Cuevas del Almanzora will remain open on Friday May 15 from 8pm until the early hours, allowing shoppers to stroll round the shelves in the cool of the evening.
The town hall’s Consumer department and the ASEMCAL business-owners’ association will be organising a Noche en Blanco (Awake all night) event for the third year running.
“As before, the initiative is designed to boost local businesses and at the same time offer a range of leisure options for shoppers,” said Consumers and Commerce councillor, Mariela Poveda.
“Following the success of previous editions, more businesses will be taking part this year,” she added. A total of 48 shops, bars and businesses will be involved, keeping their doors open until late.
From 8pm onwards, the Charanga Musica y Cobetes will perform in the streets with displays by dance pupils from the Municipal School as well as a conjuring act. Bouncy castles will be installed in the Glorieta and the Parque del Recreo for children while the El Limite group will be performing, again in the Parque del Recreo.
