DOG enthusiasts in Velez-Malaga will soon be able to enjoy the biggest dog park in the province, which is to be inaugurated on Friday (May 8).
The park cost a total of €120,000 to build, shared between Malaga Provincial Council and the town council, and is located in Calle Olivareros. It is 15,000 square metres in area, with two kilometres of paths.
“In total, 400 trees have been placed, donated by the provincial greenhouse, which are valued at around €30,000,” said town mayor, Francisco Delgado.
According to the town council, the park will have an expert instructor, in charge of explaining to visitors the different areas and uses of the park.
Mr Delgado said that this park would serve as ‘the green light of the town,’ and would be open to all residents, whether they had pets or not.
