Island bankruptcy rates fall

INSOLVENCY of businesses and private citizens in the Balearic Islands has decreased by 10.5 per cent during the first three months of 2015, if compared with the same period of the previous year.
In total 43 businesses and eight people have declared themselves bankrupt, according to the information released by the Spanish Statistics Institute (INE).
In national terms, the figure reached 1,412 businesses and 148 people, which represents a 26.6 per cent decrease if compared with 2014.
