ALMERIA police have recovered 11 sheep stolen from a cattle farm in Caravaca de la Cruz, Murcia.
Six people were arrested in Nijar, Almeria, suspected of a crime of receiving stolen goods after officers observed two parked cars and people transferring live animals from one vehicle to the other. They quickly left after detecting the presence of officers and police proceeded to track them down and ask about the origin of the livestock. No legal paperwork for their sale could be produced by the men.
The arrests come following constant activity by the Guardia Civil in investigating rural crimes under the Plan Against Agricultural and Livestock Theft.
