ALMERIA pupils are glued to their televisions, computers, tablets, phones and video consoles up to six hours a day.
This excludes the time that the 11 to 18 age group use them for study purposes, found a survey by the Almeria University.
The researchers led by Encarna Soriano, lecturer in Educational Investigation and Diagnosis, questioned 2,160 pupils of 72 different nationalities in 12 Almeria Province schools.
“The sums hardly add up,” Soriano said. “If they sleep 10 hours, spend six hours at school and six in front of a screen, where do they find time for homework, sport or leisure?”
