Evicted people in the street

ALMOST 6,000 people have signed an online petition for a municipal shelter to be created in Estepona for homeless people.
Following two recent evictions in just 24 hours, which saw two families left searching for somewhere to go with their children, social groups and associations have started to call for some sort of refuge or shelter to be built.
The petition was created on Change.org online platform by Noemi Vinuesa, a local member of the Podemos political group, after talking to people who sleep on the streets of the town and deciding something had to be done.
“I cannot rest easy at night knowing there are people sleeping on the streets nearby,” Vinuesa said.
