Nerja DFAS to host art lecture in English

NERJA’S Decorative and Fine Arts Society (DFAS) will host next May 12 a talk at the town’s Cultural Centre on British and American artists in Venice.
The lecture will be conducted by Julian Halsby and based on his book about British and American artists who discovered Venice in the early 19th century.
Featured artists will be Samuel Prout, John Ruskin, Clarkson Stanfield, Myles Birket Foster, Whistler, Sargent, and Walter Sickert, amongst others.
The talk is scheduled to take place at 6pm and tickets are €10 at the door. Nerja’s Cultural Centre is located in Calle Granada.
