MEMBERS of Motril Council have been to visit 300 people taking part in the Mayores en Marcha (Active seniors) project.Mayores en Marcha aims to bring members of the various day centres in Motril together and introduce them to new activities and resources, increasing their independence and improving mental and physical health.Mayor Luisa Garcia Chamorro said: “When we speak of active aging we recognise the rights of elderly people to equal opportunities and treatment in all areas of life as they get older, and projects like this help with that.”
