New car theft method detected

CONSUMER groups are warning of a new method used by car thieves in shopping centre car parks.

Cases have been detected in both Malaga and Sevilla of thieves using electronic apparatus to prevent remote locking systems closing car doors, leading UCE consumer group to warn drivers to ensure they physically lock their cars with the keys rather than using remotes in busy areas.
