WORLD champion boxer John H Stracey has come out fighting to help the fantastic MABS charity.

He met up with some of the Euro Weekly News team at their Albir offices to throw his full (welter)weight behind the charity which cares for those suffering from cancer.
Also there was Brendan who has donated one of the star lots at tonight’s (Saturday April 25)charity auction at the MABS Spring Ball.

He has given a pair of autographed shorts from boxing legend Thomas ‘The Hitman’ Hearns – officially authenticated – to help raise cash for the MABS cancer support group. Vince from Thermal Casas who organised the auction donations was also there.

EWN Managing Director Michel Euesden was on hand to join John in MABS’s corner, along with her husband Steven.

She said: “It is a really fantastic charity that does tremendous work. I urge everyone to go along to the Marina Hotel in Benidorm tonight.

“It is brilliant that a boxing legend like John has got involved, and very generous of Brendan to make such a donation.”

John was WBC Welterweight World Champion in the mid 1970s.
There are just a few tickets left to sell for what promises to be a fantastic event and to ensure the charity hits its break-even figure. All profits from the ball and auction will go to MABS.
