Mijas looks for lifeguards

MIJAS Council has put this year’s beach lifeguard service out to tender and will be looking for offers of up to €344,000.

Six surveillance towers, 22 lifeguards and an ambulance driver are required to cover Mijas beaches this year, and the council has announced that rather than the cheapest offer it will be choosing the one that offers the best service and hopes it can begin before June 13.
