ALOHA COLLEGE in Marbella was honoured with a visit from the local mayor for the laying of the foundation stone of its new building.
Mayor Angeles Muñoz and Mr Joseph Fay, president of Aloha College Foundation, both attended the event, which included the ceremonial filling of a time capsule with coins, flags and newspapers.
Both visitors also signed a foundation document and placed it inside the time capsule along with the school’s 2014 yearbook.
Some students attended the ceremony and particularly enjoyed the moment when the first stone was placed and covered.
The new building is an important milestone in the development of the school and will house sporting, artistic and social events in a 3,600-square-metre facility.
