Ebola health protocol activated

EBOLA protocol has been activated following a possible case being detected in Elche.

A patient in Arenales del Sol presented symptoms including a cough and fever and after it was revealed he had spent time recently in a country at risk of the spread of Ebola, the Health Department activated the necessary protocols and he was moved from his home in Calle Valladolid in the Elche municipality, to Valencia’s Hospital La Fe.

All personnel who were involved in treating and moving the man wore special protective suits and are examining a taxi driver who had been in contact with the man.
