A PASSION for fashion has helped raise funds for Tanamera’s rescue dogs.
Heaven Boutique’s fashion shows are always well attended and this one was no exception. Inn on the Green, home to Javea Bowls Club, was transformed for the day with garlands, balloons and the best of the British High Street at a fraction of the price.
There was an excited buzz as the models arrived to be dressed in this season’s fashions.
Nicola Franklin, proprietor of Heaven Boutique said: “We love holding these events. We raise funds for deserving charities and our ladies can enjoy the ‘catwalk experience’.”
A cava reception and afternoon tea was well received by the 80 ladies in attendance. At 2pm the show commenced and six models strutted their stuff, introduced by Nicola who described the outfits worn: “We have customers of all shapes, ages and sizes, reflected in our choice of models.”
The event was in aid of Tanamera SPAIN and Jacky Hazeleger said: “I am so grateful for the support. We rely solely on donations so we can continue to rescue and rehome abandoned dogs in this area.”
The post-show raffle saw many smiles. The delighted winner of the Tanqueray Gin gift-set remarked, “It’s always worth buying tickets for one of Jacky’s raffles. Her prizes are always fab!”
Jacky explained: “I get calls day and night from people informing me of dogs in danger. Yesterday I took in five puppies left at the bins. They will need medical attention before going on to their forever homes.”
€590.22 was raised from ticket sales, the raffle and extra donations.
