Towie’s Elliott gets to work in Mijas

ELLIOTT WRIGHT, former star of the hit TV show TOWIE, has confirmed that he has started the refurbishment work on the old Mijas Playa Restaurant in La Cala de Mijas.

“I´m keen to get going,” he told the EWN. “I’m really looking forward to the new project.”

Although he will be spreading his time between the restaurant and his ongoing TV career in the UK, Elliott said: “If it was up to me, I would open it in June, but that’s up to the builders and how fast they can get it finished.”

The name of the new venue “hasn’t been decided yet,” he said, and its theme is a secret at the moment. He’s keeping that information close to his chest as he takes a couple of days away with his family.  

“It’s my daughter’s birthday tomorrow, so I’m going to spend some time with her. I’ll be back in town next week.”

Elliott and his father already have three restaurants, Eduardos in Alicante being one. But this new venture will be the first on the Costa del Sol.
