Police claim suspects threw bag of marihuana from car window

TWO people were arrested in Manacor after they were found in possession of a one-kilogramme bag of marihuana.

National Police officers were on a routine patrol in the area of Portocristo when they noticed a dark-coloured vehicle that they believed was moving in a suspicious way, entering the road MA-4020 after leaving the car park of Club Baviera.

They moved to stop the car and the suspects attempted to escape, driving at very high speed until finally being intercepted near S’IIlot.

Police reported that the driver then threw a large plastic bag out of the window.

Once recovered, authorities found one kilogramme of marihuana inside.

The suspects were a Moroccan man and a heavily pregnant woman, who were taken into custody.
