Huercal goes for a run

CYCLISTS, hikers and runners were out in force to enjoy the fourth edition of Huercal-Overa’s Sierrecica Run.

The 600 or so people of all ages who assembled in the Plaza de la Constitucion were made up of entire families, children included, as well as groups of friends. The local council, headed by the mayor, Domingo Fernandez, also did their bit by participating in each section.

First out were the cyclists, followed by the hikers and finally the runners. 

All followed the same circuit through the town and sierra before finishing at the municipal sports centre.
