A FARM owner has been arrested for alleged murder after human remains were found at his farm in Perleta, just outside Elche.
National Police and forensic science teams searched the property and found around 30 poultry bones but believed at least three of them were human. The remains are now in Madrid being analysed.
Officers also found an unregistered gun in the home and two shotguns. The possible identity of the victims has not been disclosed but could be linked to two alleged killings around a decade ago.
Investigations are now centred around suspicions that two people entered the property to commit a burglary and were then killed by the owner and their bodies buried.
The detainee, in his 60s, has pleaded not guilty, saying he knows nothing. He has denied any wrongdoing.
