FUENGIROLA Scout Group was honoured with a visit from British Consul Charmaine Arbouin at a recent presentation evening.
Group members were joined by representatives from Malaga Spanish Scout Group, Gibraltar Scouts and Finnish Scouts based in Fuengirola.
Alfonso Sanchez, District Commissioner for British Scouting Overseas District of France and Iberia, introduced Ms Arbouin before giving an explanation of the Silver Wolf award, the top honour from Chief Scout Bear Grylls given in recognition of services to Scouting of an exceptional nature.
Dianne Peel, Cub Scout Leader of 1st Fuengirola Cub Pack, then received the Silver Wolf from Ms Arbouin and a badge and certificate from Mr Sanchez.
Explorer Scouts Sophia and Louise were also presented with their Young Leader belts by the Consul, for completing work and training with children in the group’s younger sections.
