OIL prospecting in the Alboran Sea, the western section of the Mediterranean, has been cancelled, the Spanish government has announced.
The Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism has accepted an application from CNWL Oil España to pull out of the Chinook A-D investigations that the company had been carrying out off Spain’s southern coasts, today’s (April 20) Official State Bulletin reported.
Having agreed that all conditions were met to allow contracts to be cancelled, the company will now have to wait for its financial deposit to be returned.
