Deputy Mayor, Alfredo Ortega Tovar, together with Maria Jesus Cuevas, head of the Secondary School Francisco Javier de Burgos, welcomed the Lycee Henri Meck Secondary students to the town in an event that took place in the Protocol Hall of the town hall.

Mr Tovar thanked the students for becoming ambassadors for their town.

“This is a great opportunity for all students to grow, not only by learning our language, but on a personal level,” he said.

During their stay, they will be able to visit Motril’s most important museums as well as the Alhambra in Granada.

Ms Cuevas thanked the council for making the exchange trip possible and emphasised the great importance of these kinds of projects, as they made youths more tolerant, and open-minded.
