Sailor's market opens in Torrevieja

TORREVIEJA’S Sailor’s Market has opened today.

Councillor for Trade, Agustina Esteve, accompanied by the organiser, Alberto Almagro, opened the market which is on in Plaza de la Constitucion and along Calle Caballero de Rodas until Sunday.

The area has been transformed with fabrics, aromas and sights evoking the feelings of traditional sailor’s market with around 120 stalls offering everything from handicrafts, jewellery, candles and food.

Around 20 costumed actors are around the market disguised as pirates and musicians singing typical sea shanties. The market is on from 11am-11pm.
