MOTRIL cemetery is undergoing improvement work for a cost of almost €70,000, paid for by the town council.
Town mayor, Luisa Garcia Chamorro, together with the councillor in charge of the cemetery facilities, Margarita Yanguas, visited the municipal graveyard to check on the work’s progress.
“The main goal of this project has been to solve the significant damage to the paths and covers of some of the gardens, as well as sorting out the flooding problems which occurred on patio number eight,” said Ms Chamorro. She added: “These works will be completed in a period of two months maximum, to reduce disturbances for people who visit the facilities.”
Finally, she explained that the work would also cover the elimination of obstacles to facilitate entrance to people with disabilities.
