Axarquia towns receive grants for improvements

AXARQUIA towns are amongst those chosen to receive a grant of €326,000 from Malaga Provincial Council for renovation work in public spaces.

The provincial council has allocated this budget to be spent on renovation work and equipment upgrading in Igualeja, Alhaurin de la Torre, Frigiliana, Viñuela, Alcaucin and Montecorto.

Frigiliana is to earmark the €21,978 given by the government to carry out improvements to the local cemetery.

A total of €85,000 will be used in La Viñuela to fund the pavement and drainage works in the Constitucion district.

In Alcaucin, the budget will be put towards paving, installing street lighting and drainage in the Calle La Fuente.
