THE number of bars and restaurants with terraces in Palma has increased by 22.8 per cent in the first three months of 2015, if compared with the same period of the previous year.
Specifically, between January 1 and April of 2015, Palma Council has granted a total of 699 terrace permits, while the number amounted to 569 in the same period of 2014.
“Terraces contribute to the creation of employment and the revitalisation of the city,” said Public Functions councillor, Irene San Gil.
