Velez-Malaga square to undergo renovations

THE Plaza de la Constitucion in Velez-Malaga will undergo a complete redevelopment paid for by the town council.

Councillor for Urban Work and Infrastructure explained that the new project has been planned to boost activities around the old town as well as improve accessibility for residents who live close to the San Juan Church.

“Plans are to develop the stretch between the Positos building and the Arabic Wall. The project aims to connect the residents of the high part of La Villa district with the inner centre,” said architect in charge of the project, Rafal Soler.

He continued: “We wish to turn the Plaza de la Constitucion into an open, clear square without obstacles.”
