SEVEN per cent more passengers used Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport during the first three months of this year than in the same period of 2014, a new report has revealed.
More than 2.2 million passengers travelled through the airport in January, February and March according to the latest figures released by Aena airport management.
March 29 was the busiest day of the year so far, with a total of 336 flights landing and 47,580 people using the airport in just one day.
Meanwhile, for the month of March as a whole, 900,000 passengers were reported, almost as many as Palma de Mallorca airport which traditionally holds third place amongst Spanish airports.
