Nerja shows off new pavement designs

NERJA streets Iglesia, Tajillo and Tranco now boast new, artistic, stone pavements paid for by the town council.

The completion of the work, which cost of €145,000, coincided with the Easter holidays and many locals and visitors could check the new look of the streets for themselves. In fact, the council has reported that many congratulatory messages have been sent to them, which show, according to head of the Infrastructure Department Nieves Atencia, that the project has been a complete success.

The new pavement was put in place by the company Empedrados Los Picantes, which has carried out renovation work in places as prestigious as Granada’s Alhambra.

“These positive messages push politicians to keep working for Nerja, to keep designing projects that aim to please locals and visitors alike. We will continue to promote projects like this to improve the reputation of our town for tourism,” said Ms Atencia.
