Periana: hikers will be able to enjoy a route around the town
FOUR new, tailored tourist routes will be launched on April 15 in the Axarquia by Velez-Malaga travel company Gestion Por Ti.
The routes will take in towns such as Archez, Salares, Canillas de Aceituno, Periana, Alfarnate or Comares.
The routes have been designed with the goal of deepening knowledge on heritage treasures, natural sites of interest and cultural points of attraction of the region, according to the company manager, Yasmina Nebro.
The region’s Arabic past will feature strongly in the routes, with visits to Arabic Castle Bentomiz, the Mayor’s Tower in Sedella or the Casa de la Reina Mora in Canillas de Aceituno.
Participants will be able to decide whether they want to carry out the routes walking, by horse, with or without a guide, as well as request hiking activities or special itineraries with an eye on local cuisine.
Prices range between €140 for two and €340 for a group of between seven and 13 participants.
