The Granada fire brigade said that they were alerted at around 11.30pm on Wednesday of a fire in the area of Carretera de la Cabra. Two fire engines attended the scene with eight firefighters aboard.
The area affected by the fire covered around one hectare although, according to the fire brigade, the extinguishing operations became especially complicated, ending up with injuries to two officers.
